Beware temptations don't destroy us - Musallah Rahmaniyyah, Canon Ave<\/h2>

Zikr Majlis<\/a>, at Musallah Rahmaniyyah, Cannon Ave<\/a> on April 21, 2017<\/span><\/p>
\r\n

The spiritual disease of attaching oneself and one\u2019s heart to somebody whom it is not permissable to have any attachment to is the road of destruction. Through this, a person\u2019s Dunya is destroyed, and over and above that is disgrace and athaab (punishment) in the Aakhirah. Our Pious Elders have warned us not to go near to this spiritual sickness which has become prevalent in our times. The one who treads this path is like the na\u00efve fish lured by the attractive bait, unaware of the dangers that lurk behind it. One bite and he\u2019s \u2018hooked, and even if he tries very hard he cannot escape. Soon enough he\u2019s pulled out of the water with deadly consequences. Nobody should feel safe, as even Yusuf AS acknowledged that the nafs is inclined to vice, and it is only those whom Allah has mercy upon that will be saved. As technology advances the fitnah and temptation is greater than before and a person can easily slip into sin. By indulging the nafs\u2019 desire for pleasure, the Ruh is oppressed and becomes spiritually sick. We should be concerned, engage in a lot of Thikrullah and Istighfaar, and make dua for Allah Ta\u2019ala\u2019s protection. Don\u2019t pollute the heart with illicit relationships, as Allah SWT does not enter into such a heart. Rather, with constant Thikr of Allah scrub and polish the heart so it becomes clean and pure, then Nur of Allah SWT can enter it.<\/p>\n
