Ignorance - a spiritual malady P5<\/h2>

A person who is ignorant has no conviction in that which he does therefore there will be no effect in it. In the Quran Allah SWT gives the instruction, \u2018Fas-aloo ahla aththikriin kuntum la ta\u2019alamoon\u2019 - Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know. Allah SWT uses \u2018ahlus thikri\u2019 instead of \u2018ahlul ilmi\u2019 referring to the people of knowledge in this ayat. The reason explained by Hz Ml Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sb Rah is that the person who has deep knowledge can only be one who is immersed in the Zikr of Allah SWT. We should have a desire to equip ourselves with knowledge such that when tests come during times of fitnah we are able to distinguish between Haqq and Baatil. The Hadith of Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) states that a sign Allah SWT desires goodness for a person is He directs that person in acquiring and increasing in knowledge, and more importantly in having a proper understanding of that knowledge. In another narration it is further explained that Allah SWT will inspire such a person in the line of guidance which is a sign of Allah Ta\u2019ala\u2019s special attention on that person. Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) has said that the most superior form of Ibadah is acquiring the knowledge of Deen. A sign of ignorance is a person who is self-opinionated as he will consider it unnecessary to seek guidance, and therefore will not progress. Allah Rabbul Izzat commanded Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW), who He could have guided by wahi, to ask the opinions of the Sahabah RA on matters in order to entrench the system of Mashura in the Ummah. <\/p>\n
