Ignorance - a spiritual malady P3 {Acquisition of Knowledge}<\/h2>

Islahi Majlis<\/a>, at Musjid ut Taqwa<\/a> on September 5, 2016<\/span><\/p>

Nabi-e-Kareem ? mentioned that the world and all its\u2019 contents are cursed besides Zikrullah, anything associated with Zikrullah, the Aalim and the Muta\u2019allim (student). Zikrullah in its\u2019 broadest sense includes all forms of ita\u2019at (obedience) such as Salaah, Tilawah etc. therefore the acquisition of knowledge is also considered as Zikrullah. Nabi-e-Kareem ? specifically mentioned Aalim and Muta\u2019allim in order to emphasise their importance. Not everyone can be an Aalim, however anyone can be a student by simply making the intention of acquiring knowledge. According to Ahadith there is great value and reward attached to knowledge, the reason being that it differentiates between lawful and unlawful thereby acting as a \u2018signpost\u2019 to Jannah. Knowledge is a guide in happiness and grief as on these occasions one may be overtaken by emotion and act contrary to Shariah. Allah SWT elevates the fraternity of the Ulama due to their knowledge and they become leaders whose models are emulated and opinions resorted to. Allah SWT, the Malaaikah, the people of the earth and skies and all the creation make dua of barakah for those who impart knowledge of Deen, as it is through their teachings that the Aamaal of people become correct and the Rahmah of Allah Ta\u2019ala descends. The eagerness to search for and acquire knowledge should grow in the heart and time should be spared for this pursuit, as knowledge is an ocean with no shore.<\/p>\n
