Achievement of the best grades in the exams is not the sum total of success or failure for a person. Remember that Rizq is determined by Allah Ta'ala and education alone doesn't dictate it. Be cautious not to gloat over good results but turn in Shukr to Allah. Adopt mashwarah (consultation) in deciding the career path's of our children respecting their inclinations and keeping in mind the bigger picture of attaining happiness and not just maximizing material gain. Do not feel ashamed in guiding children towards studying in fields which are not as high paying as others but will grant greater satisfaction in this world and the Aakhirah. Consider the shortage of the skills in our Ummah in the fields of: Education, Media Studies, Social Sciences, Politics and Food Sciences. As per the Hadith develop our students into those who will be of benefit to mankind. Sisters should also choose careers that will take into consideration their roles as wives and mothers in the future.<\/p>\n
